F-1 Transfer Students
Agape English Language Institute welcomes F-1 students who would like to transfer from another DHS approved school in the United
States. To apply as a transfer student, please complete the following steps.

Submit Application for Admissions and $75 Application Fee
(due at registration).

Complete and return the following documents:

Transfer Clearance Form – complete page
1 and have your current school (International Student Advisor) complete page 2 and return it to Agape. Your current school must
release you in SEVIS before we can issue you a transfer I-20.

Copy of current I-20

Official Bank Statement or Affidavit of Financial Support – this must show that you have more than $3377 in order
to pursue your education in the U.S.A.

FOR HOMESTAY STUDENTS: Please submit your Homestay Application
and homestay fee ($100) at least 4 weeks before your anticipated arrival at Agape. The remainder of your homestay fee must also be
paid (normally, by wire transfer/Western Union) before your arrival in Columbia to begin your homestay.

Report to Agape on the Registration/Orientation Day (Friday before classes begin) and register for classes (payment
for fees, tuition and homestay must be made on or before this day).
After the above steps are completed and the student has reported and registered at Agape, we will
issue a new I-20 to the student.
Please note: Students who do not have all the above materials necessary for transfer will not be
allowed to register. If the transfer is cancelled, the application fees are not reimbursable.
