Janet
Key is originally from Akron, OH. She moved to Greenville with her family
in 1984. Janet attended Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, GA and majored in
Cross-Cultural Studies. While attending Toccoa Falls, Janet had the
opportunity to travel to Choluteca, Honduras for fourteen days to do some
construction work after Hurricane Mitch. After college, Janet attended a
Discipleship Training School in Denver, CO with an organization called
Youth With a Mission. She spent three months studying and preparing in
Denver and then took a two month long mission trip to The Gambia and
Mauritania, West Africa. While in West Africa, Janet had opportunities to
teach English, paint houses, and work with homeless children. She loves
to travel and to learn about other cultures. Janet has been teaching
English for Agape since March, 2002. She often says how much she loves
her job and loves working with internationals!
